Your B&T Team
I am a native of Norfolk VA - graduated from Old Dominion University with my major in Accounting. After college, I worked in the hospitality industry for 15 years in Accounting & Hotel Management. I changed industries in 2005 to construction when a friend I met at one of the hotels I worked needed help with their local businesses - B&T Kitchens and Baths. I have embraced this industry and this company with the same passion and commitment as I did in the hotel industry. Although very different industries and different companies, there are many similarities. It is all about relationships and enjoying what you do!
At B&T Kitchens and Baths, I found a team with a focus on its customers and an unwavering passion for reaching for excellence in everything. One of my roles here at B&T is to make sure everyone who walks through our doors, receives the best experience possible with their kitchen or bath remodeling project. We continue to review our processes to make sure we exceed our client’s expectations. Our employees are some of the BEST in Hampton Roads, and I feel lucky to work with such a talented group of people.
Kitchen design is an extension of each client and becomes more than just "a space"; it is a place memories are created. At B&T Kitchens and Baths, our goal is to design what you dream and to communicate the process every step of the way while exceeding your expectations! Even though we offer cabinetry and kitchen/bath remodeling services, our number one priority is building genuine relationships with our customers, with our industry partners and with each other.
Please call or visit us at our Design Studio in Virginia Beach or our Contractor Showroom in Norfolk. We are here to help you make your dreams come true!
I have been working with B&T Kitchens and Baths since early 2006. Simply put, I love my job and the people I work with. I also worked in the hotel industry in the Accounting department and made an easy transition to this industry. Maureen and I spend many hours crunching numbers but we also spend many hours helping outside of the Accounting field. From landscape, to decorating our showroom, to hosting events or working on advertising, I help out wherever I am needed!
When I had my kitchen remodeled, B&T Kitchens and Baths installed a beautiful kitchen in my home and one my family and I will enjoy for many years to come. From the quality cabinetry to the installation, we were completely happy with our kitchen remodel.
Having been in the Kitchen and Bath Industry since 2004, I am thrilled to be part of the B&T family, making the Shore Drive Design Studio my new “home”. In my nearly 10 years of experience, I have worked with home owners and contractors, alike, focusing on projects ranging from simple remodels to major overhauls. I find pride in creating solutions to the most challenging spaces and then transforming them into functional works of art that my clients will enjoy for years.
Through B&T, our design clients have access to endless resources and a team waiting to offer support through each facet of this exciting process. This is so important because each project, large or small, is as unique as the person and home it is intended for. That is what keeps this profession so exciting!
As a native of Virginia Beach, I have always been inspired by nature, music, the ocean, and other people. I work to remain in touch with my senses at all times and find my surroundings alluring and enriching whatever they may be. With my Bachelor of Fine Arts from Longwood University and a background in custom kitchen design, I have found a passion for creating functional but beautiful kitchens and bathrooms.
Most of my memories growing up take place in my family’s kitchen. Whether I was doing homework at the island, learning to bake with my mom, or wrestling our pups on the floor, our kitchen had many functions and brought together so many important relationships. Every day I work hard to create kitchen designs for clients that can foster the same type of relationships I experienced in my own kitchen while incorporating their own traditions and ideas. Kitchen design has been a fulfilling career for me and I hope to continue growing and serving families in the Tidewater area.
Originally from Fredericksburg, VA, I spent most of my youth in the Naples, FL area. Having grown up on job sites within my family’s custom cabinetry design firm, my affinity for residential design was quickly developed leading me to the Savannah College of Art and Design where I received my BFA in Architecture in 2011.
I strongly believe in a well-traveled soul – not only for the experiences you gain but also to expose yourself to different cultures and design styles. Being able to converse with clients, with a firsthand experience of a place, is beyond exciting to me – especially if we can incorporate little details into the design giving each project its own unique personality.
With over 10 years of professional experience in cabinetry, I’ve worked with firms throughout Florida and Manhattan on projects both local and international which have helped develop my design skills from the most traditional to the ultra-contemporary. Whether your project be a remodel or new construction, large or small, I’m excited to help make your dream space a reality.
After receiving my Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture in 2000 and my Master’s Degree in Kitchen & Bath Design in 2002, I worked for 8 years as a Kitchen Designer & Sales Associate. While I loved designing for clients from all facets of life, I felt my talents would be better suited in the operations side which was more of a behind the scenes position. That is what led me to B&T Kitchens and Baths.
Since August 2012, I have worked for B&T Kitchens and Baths as Design Coordinator. Although you may not see me (since I work behind the scenes), I do work on every job that comes through B&T. I am responsible for ordering your cabinets, countertops and hardware. It is important to us that you enjoy and love your new kitchen or bath, and part of my job is to review for accuracy to ensure a successful project! I do this by making sure your order is correct and all the necessary materials are ordered so it arrives at your home complete and ready for installation.
From your designer to the installers, I am one small part of a team of people who work diligently and tirelessly to make your vision a reality.
I am the General Manager at B&T Kitchens and Baths. Currently, I oversee company operations for our Norfolk and Virginia Beach locations.
I began my career in custom kitchen design and installation at B&T when I was 16 years old, moving to a full-time position after graduating from the University of North Carolina-Wilmington.
You can find me working with our extraordinary designers, expert installation crews and efficient delivery drivers to ensure a level of customer service unsurpassed by others.
I have completed all requirements to be licensed as a Contractor and have completed educational courses in kitchen and bathroom design through the National Kitchen and Bath Association. Working with contractors and homeowners alike, I realize the importance of being there for customers from start to finish and ensuring that they are comfortable and satisfied all along the way.
I believe that there is nothing more important than a satisfied client and a friendship that will last a lifetime! Visit me at either our Norfolk or Virginia Beach kitchen and bath showroom and learn how I am your kitchen expert.
I’ve had the pleasure of being part of B & T Kitchens and Baths team since 2006. During that time I have developed lasting relationships with many clients, both builders and homeowners.
I work closely with my clients to provide innovative solutions to today’s design challenges. My goal is to create your dream kitchen at a budget that is right for your needs. I’m committed to giving my full attention to each project, and seeing it through to its completion, and your ultimate satisfaction.
I believe the kitchen is the most important room in the house and take every effort to reflect that in my work.
I have lived in Virginia Beach for over twenty years and enjoy the Tidewater area. I’m active outside of the office as well. I enjoy many activities including wood carving, gardening, boating and other water sports. I’m an Elder in my church and very active in many church volunteer activities. Just like at B & T, I believe it is important to lend a helping hand.
The military brought my family from the Jacksonville, Florida area to Virginia Beach in 1996. Though it was tough to leave the sunshine state, I quickly grew to love the vibe of Virginia Beach. The area offers plenty to do and plenty of sunshine to go around. I enjoy attending area festivals, live music venues and spending time relaxing on the beach.
People have often asked me how I got into the Kitchen and Bath field and the first thing that comes to mind is that my interest was piqued when my parents were having a house built 20 years ago. My mom asked me if I wanted to help her make a couple of selections for the kitchen and I was very excited to have that opportunity. The builder’s design consultant had brought many countertop samples over, and I found it fun to coordinate them with the cabinetry, paint, and flooring. I’m embarrassed to say, I selected a seafoam green laminate countertop, but that color was on trend back then! Or was it?! Lol! From that day on and the discovery of HGTV I had it in the back of my mind that a career in design would be exciting and a good fit for me.
Fast forward a few years; I obtained my Associates Degree in Interior Design and found my first kitchen and bath design position with B&T Kitchens and Baths in 2005. After 4 1/2 great years with the B&T team, I switched gears and tried my hand at visual merchandising for a local furniture store and then as a design consultant for a tile and stone company. Meanwhile, I felt the kitchen and bath bug creeping back. After moving to Destin, Florida I spent three years designing for a custom cabinet shop where the focus was on the European style frameless cabinetry. Circumstances recently brought me back to VB, and it was only natural that I would return to the team that felt like family. I’m back with the BEST working behind the scenes in the contractor office. I’m surrounded by a knowledgeable, experienced, friendly, and professional group of people whose main goal is to provide you with quality service and products that create kitchens and baths you can be proud to show off.
I am an active veteran in the Army Reserves, stationed here in the Hampton Roads area. In my free time I enjoy building and refinishing furniture, including some light remodeling. My full-time job is kitchen and bath design and have been in the industry for over 10 years.
I began my career shortly after graduating from high school. I worked my way through many positions, including carpenter assistant, cabinet and top fabricator, delivery, and eventually designer. Working in these positions has made me very well-rounded with remodeling projects – specifically kitchens and baths. It has afforded me the opportunity to easily convey ideas and suggestions for a project so we are on target with your “wants”, “must haves” and overall budget.
I have been with the B&T Kitchens and Baths family since May 2014, and haven’t been happier. Together, we share the same high standards in quality, customer satisfaction, and dedication for each project we undertake. I am proud to be a part of the B&T family and am confident you will be happy you reached out to us for your kitchen or bath remodeling project. Call or email me and I’ll help turn your vision into a reality!
